A gang who tried to smuggle urea water by hiding it among other cargoes was caught by customs.

The Korea Customs Service announced today (15th) that it was investigating about 4 tons of urea (416 containers of 10 kg), which they were trying to bring in without customs declaration on the 12th.

Customs caught urea water hidden between normal cargoes brought in from China to Incheon Port.

The Korea Customs Service plans to come up with a distribution plan so that the goods can be distributed in the market after consultation with the relevant agencies.

The Korea Customs Service said, "We will support expedited customs clearance for goods that have been normally declared for import, but will strengthen risk management-based customs inspection for goods that are illegally imported, such as not filing an import declaration or disguised as a different product name."
