His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited the Dubai Airshow yesterday, on its second day, where His Highness, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, inspected a number of country pavilions. Participation in the exhibition, which this year is attended by official delegations, international companies and exhibitors from 148 countries around the world.

At the beginning of the tour, during which His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, watched the latest productions of international companies specialized in the fields of space and aviation. And Defense, which it presents through the 17th Dubai Airshow, which is the largest in the history of the exhibition, with more than 1,200 exhibitors.

During the tour, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was briefed on the latest production of the Russian giant company "Sukhoi" of high-tech combat aircraft. Through its participation this year, it displayed the first model of the fifth generation fighter "Sukhoi SU75", which was named "Sukhoi SU75". CheckMate” in the international debut of the new generation of Sukhoi aircraft at the Dubai Airshow 2021.


His Highness also visited the Airbus pavilion, during which it reviewed a variety of its aircraft and advanced technologies, in addition to providing adequate information about its services and innovations through which it seeks to achieve a sustainable future for the aviation sector. The Middle East and Africa region and the services it provides to its countries from its regional headquarters in Dubai.


His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's tour included the Boeing Pavilion, where he was received by Michael Arthur, President of Boeing International.

His Highness was briefed on the company's latest products, the most important of which is the giant wide-body passenger plane "777X", which is the largest and most efficient twin-engine jet aircraft in the world, as it provides better fuel use, emissions and operating costs by 10% compared to competing aircraft.

His Highness inspected the Emirates Airlines pavilion, which displays its A380 aircraft during the global event, in the four classes, which include the premium economy class cabin that the airline recently launched, in addition to the updated and improved interior designs in all cabins.


His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stopped at the platform of Strata Manufacturing Company, which specializes in advanced manufacturing operations and wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company, where he was briefed on the company's activities and the solutions and services it provides to major international airlines.


His Highness visited the pavilion of the Emirati "Edge" group specialized in the field of advanced defense technology, which enjoys a global standing as it is one of the 25 most prominent military suppliers in the world. His Highness was briefed on the solutions, products and services offered by the group during the exhibition.
