Tomorrow... Arab Plast 2021 will be launched in Dubai with the participation of 30 countries

Tomorrow, at the Dubai World Trade Center, the activities of the Arab Plast 2021 exhibition, the largest plastic exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa, will be launched, with the participation of giants of Gulf, Arab and Western petrochemical and plastic manufacturers, to shed light on the latest developments in these industries and their future in the coming years and to reveal their new products.


More than 200 international companies specialized in the plastics and petrochemicals sector from 30 countries, including Switzerland, Germany, Italy, India, Austria, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, are participating in the four-day event, with the expectation that the exhibition will attract more than 7,000 visitors.


It is remarkable that the number of local companies participating this year has increased, as more than 40 companies, most notably Borouge and Astra Polymers, in addition to the participation of major Saudi companies specialized in the plastics and petrochemical sectors in the exhibition, such as the leading Tasnee Company and the Omani company OQ.


The exhibition, in its fifteenth session, sheds light on the latest developments in the petrochemical, plastic, packaging and rubber industries and the future of these industries during the next 10 years.


Nidal Mohammed, Director General of Al-Fajr Company for Information and Services organizing the exhibition, said that the event is of great importance as it is the first exhibition organized in the Arab region in the Emirate of Dubai, especially after the stage of recovery from the Corona pandemic.. Noting that experts will discuss the great role played by the plastics industry sectors in serving the medical sector. During the last period.


He added that the petrochemical and plastic industries will witness significant growth in the coming years and are expected to be one of the leading sectors to advance the economies of countries. The Arab Plast International Petrochemical, Plastic, Packaging and Rubber Industry Exhibition will allow participants to discuss preparations for this growth, and plan for the future of these industries.


Experts expect the petrochemical sector to witness significant growth over the next five years, to reach 2,031.6 in 2026, especially with the entry of about 1158 plants into operation during the next nine years in Asia and the Middle East.


For his part, Rashid Moubayed, director of Arab Plast Exhibition, praised the tireless efforts taken by the UAE government to ensure a safe and sustainable environment after the pandemic, especially in the exhibition sector and the recruitment of international participation, as is the case in the Arab Plast exhibition, which will attract more than 200 exhibitors from 30 countries, 4 of whom will participate. For the first time in the UAE, considering that the ground in the UAE is prepared for this international gathering of petrochemicals, plastics, packaging and rubber industry, and we are proud of being pioneers in the Middle East, continuing to attract industry audiences.


It is worth noting that 95 percent of manufactured products are based on petrochemicals, including electronics, furniture, appliances, packaging and others, which makes them one of the important elements that contribute to accelerating the pace of the economy in all countries.
