Planes destined for the low cost airlines Wizz Air, Frontier, Volaris and JetSMART for a total amount of more than 33 billion dollars if the list price is applied.

"We are pleased to further extend our relationship with the airlines of our major partners Indigo, Wizz, Frontier, Volaris and JetSMART, who have acted quickly and decisively over the past few months to position themselves for this historic order as the effect of the pandemic is fading and the world wants more sustainable flights, ”said Christian Scherer, Airbus commercial director in a statement.

At the end of October 2021, the A320neo family, the Airbus bestseller since its launch in 2010, had more than 7,550 orders placed by 122 customers.

The A320 neo ordered by Indigo Partners should begin to be delivered from 2025. According to forecasts, during this period air traffic should have recovered to its level before the health crisis, against half today.
