Thanks to a large battery with a capacity of 25.4 kWh, the new Mercedes C-Class 300e fares out of the game compared to the competition, with up to more than 100 km in electric mode.
Unfortunately, this substantial autonomy is paid for by a trunk whose capacity is reduced to display only 360 liters under the tablet in the station wagon.
It is certainly more than in the previous generation, but it is still a little stingy for a vehicle of this category.
Under the hood, we find a 4-cylinder 2-liter engine of 204 hp and an electric powertrain of 129 hp, all developing a combined power of 313 hp and 550 Nm. Capable of going from 0 to 100 / h in 6.1 seconds, the C 300e can drive up to 140 km / h in electric mode and 245 km / h on gasoline.
The plug-in hybrid C-Class is offered from € 58,900, and € 1,500 more for the station wagon.
