During the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), China News Agency "Ask East-West China-Europe Dialogue" had a dialogue with Børge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum.

He said that China has independently set targets for carbon peaks by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060.

These goals are very ambitious and realistic at the same time.

He pointed out that in terms of poverty eradication, China has achieved unprecedented achievements in human history in the past two decades.

We have already witnessed how China has helped the global photovoltaic panel prices to drop significantly within a decade.

"I am sure that China can handle the relationship between the dual-carbon goals and economic development goals, and ensure that both goals are taken into account to achieve the'decoupling' of economic growth and carbon emissions, just as China has successfully overcome other challenges in the past."
