The tour of the tuna race from the dedicated deck at the Toyosu market in Tokyo has been canceled due to the influence of the new coronavirus, but it will be resumed for the first time in about a year from next month.

At Toyosu Market in Koto Ward, there is a dedicated deck on the same floor as the auction site where the general public can observe the tuna auction that takes place in the early morning.

However, in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the tour from the deck has been canceled since the end of December last year.

Under these circumstances, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, which operates the market, decided to restart it for the first time in about a year from the 2nd of next month, saying that the infection situation has settled down, such as the cancellation of the state of emergency.

However, we will limit the number of people who can visit each day to 27, which is about a quarter of the number before the spread of the infection.

Prior application is required for the tour, and if there are many applications, it will be a lottery.

From the 2nd to the 25th of next month, it will be accepted on the dedicated Internet site from 3:00 pm to the 18th of this month.
