The Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) is due to move soon to two new buildings located on a former industrial wasteland being reconverted in Ivry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne), reports

Le Parisien

.

In total, nearly 3,000 CDC employees from different sites in the Ile-de-France will settle there.

Those working in the premises of the Quai d'Austerlitz in Paris (13th century) and at the head office in Paris (7th century) are not concerned.

Finally, the project provides for the development of nearly 8,000 m2 of gardens on the ground floor, which will serve as a biodiversity reserve and refreshment islands.

A project of several years

The offices will be spread over two eight-storey buildings which will be located next to the RER C station and metro line 7.

"The site will run alongside the railways and will not block the view of anyone," assured Philippe Bouyssou, mayor (PCF) of Ivry-sur-Seine.

The latter foresees a start of work "in the next twelve months".

An auditorium, a collaborative center or even a medical center will also emerge in these buildings.
