Yesterday, the Emirates Pilot Training Academy celebrated the graduation of the second batch of its pilots, as 25 students completed the academy’s global training programme, bringing the total number of academy graduates since the first graduation ceremony last year to 50 cadet pilots.

A statement said that His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airlines and Group, distributed the certificates to the graduates, who each completed 1,100 hours of ground training, and 215 hours of flight instruction (including flight simulation training). Obtaining an Air Transport Pilot License.

His Highness said: "We celebrate the graduates of the Emirates Aviation Training Academy, and we are proud of their achievements, and their success is the success of our country."

His Highness added, "Despite the unprecedented challenges imposed by the pandemic, the academy has demonstrated its strong determination and commitment to contribute to the recovery and growth of the aviation sector in the UAE and the world, by helping prepare the new generation of future pilots."

For his part, Vice President of the Emirates Pilot Training Academy, Captain Abdullah Al Hammadi, said: “The 25 new graduates are a testament to perseverance and determination, as not only did they complete one of the most difficult pilot training programs in the world, but they did so with maximum flexibility. and professionalism.”

It is noteworthy that graduates of the Emirates Flight Training Academy obtain a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) on a multi-engine aircraft, after training that takes between 21 and 24 months.
