TSMC, the world's largest semiconductor manufacturer in Taiwan, officially announced on the 9th that it will establish a subsidiary in Kumamoto Prefecture in collaboration with Sony Group and build a new semiconductor factory.
The factory will start construction next year, aiming to start production by the end of 2024, and the initial capital investment will be about 7 billion dollars, or about 800 billion yen in Japanese yen.
