If you want to buy real estate, you will need to provide your banker with serious guarantees.

According to a study by broker Finance Conseil unveiled by BFM Business on Monday, the level of average personal contribution has increased by 13% in one year.

To obtain a mortgage from his bank, a buyer must now be able to bring on average nearly 30,000 euros of contribution, against 25,000 in 2020.

Disparities between regions

The increase is significant in the regions where the real estate market is the most dynamic.

This is the case in Brittany with an increase of 40% in one year (31,052 euros of average contribution).

In Ile-de-France, the average contribution is up by 25,000 euros and stands at 86,000 euros.

Other regions are showing the opposite dynamic, particularly in New Aquitaine where the amount of the loan requested from banks has fallen by more than 20,000 euros, specifies BFM TV.

Result: the average contribution also fell by 2,000 euros in 2021 (to 24,600 euros).

In Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, the drop is 5,000 euros.

In the PACA region, we now need 12,000 euros in less contribution (to 52,500 euros) compared to 2020.
