Etisalat Emirates has announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Emirates Islamic Bank, which enables the bank's credit card holders to exchange smart miles for "Smiles" points, the rewards exchange program powered by "Blockchain" technology.

Chief Executive Officer of the Individual Sector at Etisalat Emirates, Khaled Al-Khouli, said that the bank's credit card holders can benefit from a wide range of deals and benefits offered by the "Basmat" program.

Within the rewards exchange program, “Basmat” customers can add loyalty membership on one application, track all loyalty points in real time, exchange points with any program within the rewards exchange network in real time, and access an expanded market to redeem points.
