A shaman who bought 14 houses in a few years was subjected to a tax investigation while the National Tax Service strengthened the monitoring of multi-homeowners. The National Tax Service believes that the money received from giving divination or doing good things to people was used to buy a house without reporting it as income.

This is the exclusive report by reporter Im Tae-woo.

Mr. A, a shaman who became famous by appearing on various exorcism related programs.

I received money and did various shamanic rituals as well as the new store, buy orders, and compatibility.

[Shaman A: You have to see the fortunes, and to see the fortunes, first make a deposit. Bokchae is 100,000 won.]

Mr. A, who was also active on social media, was a wealthy real estate agent.

In total, 14 multi-family houses were purchased together with my spouse in Seoul and elsewhere for five years from 2014.

From the end of last year to the beginning of this year, the Seoul Regional Tax Office conducted a tax investigation on Mr. A, a shaman, and his spouse twice, including the source of real estate funds.

As a result of the investigation, it was found that Mr. A invested in most real estate without reporting the income he earned from fortune-telling or good luck, and even earned rental income.

Mr. A explained that as the head of a Buddhist temple, he was exempted from taxation as a religious person because it was a donation, a kind of donation, which he received for 49 jae or Cheondo jae.

He also claimed that the real estate funds were financed with money donated by his parents and bank loans.

[Shaman A's: Thing (tax authorities) is' You've got two for 14 just a donation, can think only so tried to defeat the tax I rattling do my vocation, instead, huh about the source of funds with it and fed the tax]

, but tax Authorities believed that Mr. A registered as a tax-exempt Buddhist organization and actually started a shamanic business by setting up a fortune teller and a gutdang.

Cash was deposited into Mr. A's personal account about 480 times, but it is difficult to see it as a donation that is usually deposited into a religious group account.

The shaman's side announced that they would file a lawsuit against the hundreds of millions of won in taxes imposed by the National Tax Service.
