It fills the gap of national standards in this field.
Although the production history of China's precision stainless steel materials is short, with the rapid development of the domestic manufacturing industry represented by the electronics industry, the domestic market's demand for such materials continues to grow.
However, various product standards at home and abroad have not provided corresponding regulations for such ultra-thin products.
Previously, the 0.02 mm stainless steel developed by TISCO became famous for a while. This precision foil called "hand-tear steel" has raised the production process of stainless steel foil to the world's leading level.
Prior to this, the product was monopolized by Japan, Germany and other countries for a long time due to the difficulty of process control.
In the process of formulating the national standard of "Stainless Steel Precision Foil", TISCO organized domestic experts from units that have long been engaged in the development, production and use of stainless steel precision foil to form a standard compilation group.
Due to the extremely thin thickness of stainless steel precision foil (thickness less than 0.05 mm), the dimensional tolerance, three-point difference, and the same stripe that the standard focuses on have reached the order of micrometers, and it has learned from the non-ferrous metal foil, coating industry, Testing methods such as the papermaking industry have introduced the testing of puncture strength and surface wetting angle, taking into account the performance requirements of extremely thin materials in the electronics, medical, and coating industries.
The formulation of the "Stainless Steel Precision Foil" national standard regulates the technical requirements of such products, fills the gaps in the national standard in this field, and makes China's stainless steel strip standard system more perfect.
