On November 1, with the approval of the Beijing Municipal Government, the city issued an implementation plan for the reduction and exemption of entry fees for merchants or drivers in the city’s major wholesale markets, and initiated the exemption of vegetables and five domestically-produced fruits in major agricultural product wholesale markets. It is decided that from 19:00 p.m. on November 1, 2021 to 19:00 p.m. on March 15, 2022, Beijing’s main wholesale markets will be exempted from transporting vegetables and five categories of apples, pears, tangerines, oranges and grapefruits. The municipal finance subsidizes the free fees for domestically-produced fruits entering the market, directly benefiting the majority of merchants or drivers in the market.
