flydubai launches flights to Sohar

Fly Dubai has launched its regular flights to the Omani city of Sohar, making it its third destination in the Sultanate after Muscat and Salalah. Flight FZ 185 took off from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport to land at Sohar Airport this afternoon.

"Fly Dubai" indicated in a statement that it will be the first carrier from the country to operate flights to Sohar, which will be served by two flights per week.   

"We are pleased to offer our passengers direct flights between Dubai and Sohar, which is our third destination in Oman," said Hamad Obaidullah, chief commercial officer of flydubai. He added, "We had started our flights to Muscat in 2010, followed by flights to Salalah. In 2013, and with Sohar flights today, we currently serve the Sultanate with nine flights per week, four of which are to Muscat and three to Salalah, in addition to two flights per week to Sohar.”
