Two new systems implemented by Sharjah Airport to expedite travel procedures

Sharjah Airport Authority has started implementing the passenger flow and queue management system, which contributes to enhancing efficiency in daily operations across the check-in areas, security checks, and passports, as well as implementing the automated boarding pass verification system, which enhances security levels and speeds up the completion of procedures. The airport explained in a statement yesterday that the passenger flow and queue management system includes installing sensors and linking the system with the various operational systems of the airport and airlines, which contributes to managing the airport's resources dynamically and increases its capacity.

He added that this system aims to enhance efficiency in daily operations across the check-in areas, security checks, and passports, and provides the opportunity for real-time and around-the-clock monitoring through more than 112 sensors installed in the passenger areas.

As for the automated verification system for the boarding pass, the airport confirmed that it contributes significantly to enhancing security levels and speeding up the completion of passenger procedures, thanks to the automated verification of all types of boarding passes, including copies printed at home or on mobile phones, through A device that reads the traffic card and matches it with the existing data, which positively reflects on the level of services and customer satisfaction.
