This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Moldova.

Negotiations between the delegation of the republic and the Russian company took place in St. Petersburg.

“Under the agreement, the contract between Gazprom and Moldovagaz will be extended for five years, using the formula proposed by the Moldovan side,” the statement reads.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Moldova Natalia Gavrilitsa said that some progress had been made in negotiations with Gazprom on gas supplies.

On October 29, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Gazprom is open to continue negotiations with Moldova.
