virtual currency named after ARMY, the fan club of BTS, was recently issued. While advertising that half of the total volume was for BTS, the price jumped more than 130 times, but it is a virtual currency that has nothing to do with the agency or the fan club.

Correspondent Kim Jung-woo reported.

'Army' coin was listed on Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange headquartered in Singapore on the 27th.

With an absurd explanation that the purpose of publication is to take care of BTS for life, a photo of BTS was brought to the fore, and 50% of the total volume was advertised to be BTS's share, attracting investors' interest.

On the first day of listing, the price rose more than 60 times, and on the second day, it once jumped more than 130 times.

Without a proper white paper, which is a kind of business plan, they raised the price by promoting only the brand BTS and the name of their fan club.

When the situation took a turn for the worse, the agency Hive announced that "AmiCoin was issued without any discussion with Hive" and foreshadowed legal action for violating the right of portrait by using BTS's photos to promote virtual currency.

The exchange belatedly withdrew, saying that it was not responsible for the cryptocurrency project.

On the 26th, even a virtual currency borrowing the name of the drama 'Squid Game' appeared, and the price once soared more than 30 times.

This cryptocurrency is also said to have no connection with the producer or copyright holder Netflix.
