In particular, the platform "default" registered users agree to send promotional information directly, and platform merchants use platform rules loopholes to send marketing SMS and other issues are more prominent, which obviously infringes consumer rights and interests.

  The meeting emphasized that curbing spam to disturb the people and creating a clear communication environment is the specific practice of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to continue to promote "I do practical things for the people".

All major e-commerce platforms must face up to existing problems, assume the main responsibility of platform ecological governance, strictly abide by the "E-commerce Law", "Civil Code", "Communication Short Message Service Management Regulations" and other relevant regulations, and earnestly fulfill their commitments to operate telecommunications business in accordance with the law , Strengthen self-discipline and self-management, and effectively protect consumers' right to peace.
