People who want to travel to the US by plane and who are not US citizens or have permanent residency must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 from November 8.

They must also submit a negative corona test.

There are some exceptions to the vaccination requirement.

This concerns, for example, minors and people who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons.

They must also be tested for the coronavirus, unless they are under two years old.

In most cases this must be done 24 hours before departure.

For vaccinated persons and children traveling with vaccinated persons, the test may be three days old.

Airlines must ensure compliance with the new White House rules.

They must, among other things, check whether travelers meet the vaccination requirements.

According to the rules, someone is fully vaccinated if the last dose of the corona vaccine has been administered at least two weeks before the travel date.
