In the future, the plan will take the theme of "Yike Yuan Cosmos" and use technology carriers to carry out conceptual design expressions, presenting design works in the directions of future science and technology museums, future museums, universe exploration, future cities, cultural heritage, etc.
What is the meta universe?
Although the meta-universe is still in the conceptual stage, with the blessing of the Internet, 5G, big data, VR, AR and other technologies, the meta-universe has created the possibility for mankind to construct a holographic digital world parallel to the traditional physical world.
Ren Hechun, director of the Network Science Department of the China Science and Technology Museum, believes that it is necessary for the concept of "meta universe" to be introduced into future museums and science and technology museums.
Because of the emergence of two-dimensional, three-dimensional, virtual reality and other technologies, more exhibits can be presented in digital form and have been permanently preserved, and the tentacles of museum exhibitions have been extended to more areas.
At the same time, most of the collections in the museum are very precious and cannot be touched at close range. The combination of virtual and actual displays provides a more diverse interaction between the audience and the collection.
