There were people this Saturday afternoon in Ramallah in the offices of the Al Haq organization, to condemn the

Israeli measure

placing six Palestinian NGOs on the list of "terrorist organizations".

Sahar Francis, director of Addameer, one of the NGOs concerned, clarified: everyone is also speaking on behalf of all Palestinian civil society. “

Of course we will not let this decision pass, we will stay in our offices, we will continue our daily work as we have done for decades,

” she said.

We ask activists, supporters, and especially officials, all those who work either for the UN or for diplomatic representations, not to comply with this decision and to continue to support us. Because this designation is only the result of other attempts to harm us and silence us.

"

The organizations talk about a vague and baseless classification, expect condemnations from states that say they “stand up for human rights,” and will hold Israel to account.

For advocates Palestinians have been subjected to many pressures in recent years, says Ammar Hijazi, Palestinian Deputy Foreign Minister: "

Israel has unleashed was truly dirty campaign, to subject all defense organizations rights that expose these crimes against Palestinians, and to undermine their work.

"

These measures come after the opening of an investigation by the International Criminal Court (ICC) into Israel's crimes in the Palestinian Territories, "

 and it is not a coincidence

", denounce these NGOs.

Six of the most prominent Palestinian civil society organizations that were placed on Friday by Israel on its list of "terrorist organizations": Al Haq;

Addameer;

Bisan;

Defense For Children International-Palestine;

Union of Agricultural Work Committees and Union of Palestinian Women's Committees.
