According to the press service of the Moldovan Foreign Ministry, the discussion took place in the Ukrainian capital.

“The officials discussed technical solutions that could be implemented in cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities for the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to Moldova,” the publication says.

At the talks, special attention was paid to cooperation in the energy sector to diversify sources of gas supplies to the republic.

The parties agreed to create a working group for Ukraine to share its experience in gas imports.

In December 2020, Moldova extended the contract with Gazprom for the supply of gas to the republic until the end of 2021.

In October 2021, the Moldovagaz company called on Moldovan citizens to temporarily reduce their daily gas consumption due to the tense situation on the energy market.
