Dubai Electricity and Water Authority launched the "World Energy Day" awareness competition, at its pavilion participating in "Expo 2020 Dubai", to introduce visitors to the authority's most prominent projects and innovative initiatives that support the pillars of World Energy Day.

Visitors must register via an electronic platform by scanning QR codes available throughout the authority's booth, so that the winners of the competition have the opportunity to win valuable prizes.

The authority urged community members to visit its website to view the guiding attachments for the World Energy Day, which include images and information that are easy to circulate on social media pages, so that the public can share them by using the hashtag: #WorldEnergyDay, and encourage family and friends to adopt a culture of conservation through simple steps.

The authority also called on the public to participate in the “green pledge” available on the “World Energy Day” page on the authority’s website, which represents a personal pledge by each individual to preserve the environment, by adopting behaviors to rationalize electricity and water consumption in homes, and reduce waste rates. .
