For this second version of the NX, it is clear that Lexus has not taken too many stylistic risks: only a few details such as the grille are changing, for more dynamism.
However, this SUV has a new platform 2 cm longer and wider, which gives it a little more roominess.
Inside, it is above all the presence of a 9.8-inch screen (14 on high-end versions) oriented towards the driver that makes the difference, as well as simplified ergonomics, keeping certain physical controls. .
Very good autonomy
For the European market, the NX is available with a hybrid engine (NX 350h) of 244 hp and, for the first time at Lexus, a mechanical rechargeable hybrid (NX 450h +) of 309 hp. Combined with an 18.1 kWh battery, this version has a range of 69 to 76 km and can travel up to 135 km / h without CO2 emissions. The power of the 2.5-liter engine and its two electric powertrains (one at the front, the other at the rear) is transmitted to all four wheels via the E-Four system.
With a very pleasant behavior thanks to its chassis sharper than in the past, the NX 450h + seems to keep its promises with regard to autonomy and average consumption, which does not exceed 6.5l / 100km.
An argument which, combined with the excellent overall comfort and a flattering finish, makes it a good alternative to the perennial Germans.
