Cécile Goubet, general manager of Avere, which campaigns for electric mobility, welcomes on Europe 1 the probable six-month extension of the bonus of 1,000 euros for the purchase of an electric vehicle.

According to her, this government decision could meet two needs of producers and consumers.

INTERVIEW

Six months are important.

According to the newspaper

Les Echos

, the government has decided to postpone for six months the planned drop of 1,000 euros in the bonus for the purchase of an electric vehicle.

This drop from 6,000 euros to 5,000 euros would therefore only take place from July 2022, instead of January 2022. "Very good news", according to Cécile Goubet, general manager of Avere (National Association for the Development of Electric Mobility ) and guest of Europe 1 Tuesday evening.

A price differential of 10,000 euros

First, logically, this extension will allow potential buyers to better plan and therefore take the plunge more easily. “We now know that the price differential between combustion vehicles and their electric equivalents remains on average 10,000 euros. that the purchasing parity is not there ", insists Céline Goubet.

This extension "is also part of a somewhat specific context which is linked to the difficulty of being able to obtain supplies of various materials and components for the manufacturers".

A postponement of the end of the bonus "will allow them to also give them a little oxygen so as to be able to ensure vehicle deliveries, quite simply", explains the representative of the interest group.

"Real craze"

While electric cars only represent 1.5% of the total car fleet, can this extension really act as a vehicle for the rise of electric power on the roads of France?

"We know that the switch to the electric vehicle is there," says Cécile Goubet.

"We are still approaching the 20% market share today in electric plug-in vehicles. Nevertheless, all the efforts that have been made in recent years must absolutely be maintained since everything has not yet been decided. There is a real one. enthusiasm, electric vehicle users are 97% satisfied with their vehicle. "
