The whole line consists of the China section and the Laos section, with a total length of more than 1,000 kilometers.

After the completion and opening to traffic, it is expected that direct transportation from Kunming, China to Vientiane, Laos will be realized on the same day.

  It is reported that in April 2020, the China section of the China-Laos Railway began to lay the track from Jianyuxi to Mohan. Due to the constraints of the construction of control projects such as bridges and tunnels, the track laying construction will be affected to a certain extent.

In order to complete the track laying task safely and with high quality, the construction personnel of China Railway First Bureau and other units work in four shifts 24 hours a day, operating two track laying machines to lay the tracks on the upper and lower lines at the same time, so that people can stop the machine. To the manual track laying operation, we will make every effort to promote the completion of the track laying on the whole line.
