For its study, the Automotive Index analyzed searches performed on Google and Instagram during the first half of this year.

The great champion revealed by the results collected is Tesla, with 67.1 million requests on the search engine and 3.5% engagement rate on the social network.

Next is BMW with 48.2 million searches on Google and 59.7 million mentions on Instagram.

Finally Mercedes completes the podium by being more followed than BMW with 33.1 million followers.

In the “trendy” brands that are experiencing the greatest increase in interest, the surprise comes from Subaru (+ 14.61% of searches), followed by Tesla (14.26%) and by Dacia (11.93%).

Globally, the most searched model is the Ranger Rover with 21.5 million searches on Google.

And in France, you will ask?

The most sought-after brand is… Renault.
