Distribution of licenses

The new licenses issued during September 2021 were distributed according to the category of the license, as professional licenses came at the forefront with 56%, followed by “commercial” by 43%, and the rest of the percentage was distributed among “tourist” and “industrial”.

The report highlighted the distribution of these licenses according to the main regions in the Emirate of Dubai, as the largest share was for the Bur Dubai region with a total of 4,658 licenses, then the Deira region, which registered 2,264 licenses, while the Hatta region registered six new licenses, while the other licenses were distributed among the areas: Al Fahidi, Burj Khalifa, Port Saeed, Al Murar, First Dubai Investments Park, Naif, Al Muraqqabat, Al Karama, First Trade Center, and Al Garhoud.

Legal form

The report indicated that “individual institutions” accounted for 36% of the total new licenses issued during September 2021, according to the legal form, while “limited liability companies” accounted for 25.5%, followed by “civil works” with 22. %.

The rest of the list of legal forms included: limited liability companies - one person, branches of companies based in another emirate, branches of foreign companies, branches of companies / institutions based in a free zone, and branches of Gulf companies.

Total Transactions

The report indicated that the total commercial registration and licensing transactions completed during September 2021 amounted to 26,232 transactions, a growth of 12% compared to the same period in 2020, when the total transactions reached 23,455 transactions.

In turn, the commercial name reservation process amounted to 7,404 procedures, an increase of 40% compared to September 2020, which recorded 5,274 procedures.

The number of initial approvals reached 6,057 procedures, an increase of 49% compared to September 2020, which recorded 4,072 procedures, while the percentage of commercial permits increased by 22% compared to the same period last year, as 903 permits were issued during September 2021, and 743 permits during September 2020. .
