dnata begins using drones in its warehouses

dnata has recently partnered with Gather AI, a US-based technology startup, to use autonomous drones in its warehouses at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to digitize acceptance and warehousing processes through Accurately monitor shipments around the clock.

In a statement today, dnata said that the innovative artificial intelligence program based on the "dron" enables it to scan the warehouse environment, collect inventory data, calculate cases, measure temperature and read barcodes using cameras, without the need for any additional active infrastructure, noting. Inventory data collected by the drone appears directly on a portable tablet or on the web via an easy-to-use application.

She added that the "dron" operates at temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius, which allows benefiting from the technology in the advanced cold chain charging facilities as well.

dnata indicated that it plans to gradually roll out the use of drones across its global shipping network in the coming years.

“We are excited to bring this ground-breaking drone technology into our operations to take cargo handling to the next level,” said Guillaume Crozier, dnata's vice president of operations and product development.
