Britain faces a shortage of pilots

The United Kingdom is facing a shortage of pilots, which may hinder the reopening of the travel sector, after hundreds of pilots took early retirement or changed jobs during the Corona pandemic, according to the British newspaper, The Telegraph.

And the Bloomberg News Agency quoted the newspaper as saying that it is believed that the number of pilots who retired during the Corona pandemic is double the usual levels.

The report added that it believed that "hundreds" had sought early retirement.

British ministers fear that the insufficient number of pilots will harm the process of returning the travel sector to pre-pandemic levels.
