The restored open areas include scenic spots such as Panda Sea, Arrow Bamboo Sea, Swan Sea, Fangcao Sea, Virgin Forest, etc. The approved maximum carrying capacity of the scenic spot is 41,000 person-times per day.
On August 8, 2017, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake occurred in Jiuzhaigou County. The epicenter was located in the Jiuzhaigou World Natural Heritage Site. Many landscapes were damaged by the earthquake.
It is understood that after reconstruction and restoration after the earthquake, 170 geological disasters in the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area have been comprehensively controlled, and the landscape has been restored to its pre-earthquake level.

During the post-earthquake restoration and reconstruction process, Jiuzhaigou Management Bureau actively rescued the damaged scenic spots. Nuorilang Waterfall and Sparkling Sea were restored to their pre-earthquake state through effective manual intervention; a total of 270,000 trees were replanted to restore and restore the habitat 2585 acres, damaged mountains and vegetation have been quickly repaired; new protection stations in 5 nature reserves including Changhai and Shuzheng have been built, and monitoring of animals and plants, water quality, and air will be carried out on a regular basis.
Before the global opening, the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area had reached 85% of its opening.
In March 2018, Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area opened the ditch mouth via Nuorilang Waterfall to Changhai, Zharugou Zharu Temple, Rizegou Jinghai; in September 2019, Jiuzhaigou Scenic Spot opened Zharugou Zharu Temple and Shuzheng Valley ( Excluding Sparkling Sea), Rizegou (Scenic Spots from Nuorilang to Wuhuahai Section) and Zechawagou.
