Zhang Lijun, vice chairman of the China Business Federation and director of the National Restaurant and Hotel Rating Committee, disclosed in the 2019-2020 National Diamond Level Restaurant Development Report: According to the National Restaurant and Hotel Rating Committee and the Chinese Culinary Association Statistics from the China Hotel Association show that: As of the end of 2020, there are 3,049 national diamond restaurants in the country, with a turnover of 88.68 billion yuan, accounting for 6.3% of the national dinner market, an increase of 0.3% year-on-year.

Among the top 50 national dinner restaurants, 29 national diamond restaurants (enterprise groups) are on the list, accounting for 58%.

  Zhang Lijun released the above report at the 2021 7th National Diamond Level Restaurant Annual Conference and Guizhou Qiancai Food Season.

With the theme of "New Stage, New Concept, New Pattern", this year’s annual meeting will deeply analyze the development trend of my country’s catering consumption in the new stage, actively explore the road to high-quality catering development under the new pattern, and exchange and share the new ideas of science and technology empowered catering reforms. Under the new industry development trend, the business philosophy of the national diamond restaurant has changed. The high-level national diamond restaurant has achieved business philosophy innovation in meeting the rigid needs of the people and giving Chinese traditional culture more connotation and meaning to the banquet. Significant achievements have been made in leading the development of the industry's trend.

The structure of the national diamond restaurant has also undergone a qualitative change. Through precise market positioning and consumer group benchmarking, the catering industry has received favors of diamond restaurants of all levels.

The national diamond restaurant has taken the lead in applying big data and information technology. The digital economy has introduced technology and data elements for the service operation of the national diamond restaurant, which has promoted a significant improvement in labor production efficiency.

After achieving historic transformation and upgrading, the national diamond restaurant has fully served the mass consumption and has a prominent demonstration role.
