Yesterday, the sign language broadcast digital person, which will be officially put into use during the Beijing Winter Olympics, was unveiled in advance at the Zhongguancun Forum "Artificial Intelligence and Multidisciplinary Collaborative Innovation Forum".
According to Tang Jie, deputy dean of Zhiyuan Research Institute and professor of Tsinghua University, this sign language broadcast digital person is developed based on the "Enlightenment" model and is supported by the Beijing Science and Technology Commission's Science and Technology Winter Olympics Special Support, Zhipu·AI, Ling Yunguang and Beijing Radio and Television Station Jointly build.
In the past, because sign language mainly relied on gestures to convey information, different people had different gesture habits, which easily caused deviations in information transmission; artificial intelligence can avoid "thousands of people" and always maintain unity.
The sign language broadcasting robot can provide the whole-process intelligent and accurate broadcasting service, which is convenient for the hearing impaired to watch the special report of the event.
