  Twenty years ago, Liu Danzhi followed his father to Hexi Farm, and he just started to grow wheat and highland barley crops. In 2011, he started planting wolfberry, breaking a path to enrich the people and the family.

Over the years, the good sales of red goji berries have allowed him to taste the sweetness and accumulate a certain amount of planting experience.

  In recent years, Golmud City has taken the development of the quinoa industry as an important measure to optimize the structure of the agricultural industry and promote the improvement of agricultural quality and efficiency.

In order to broaden the channels for increasing farmers' income and realize the increase of farmers' income, Golmud City further adjusted and optimized the industrial structure, and strived to create new agricultural economic growth points.

The wolfberry harvest is busy picking

  Speaking of the picking life for more than a month, the picker at Balian of Golmud Hexi Farm is most impressed by the expert picker Jin Xiaoping from Ya'an, Sichuan. She picked 230 kilograms of fresh fruits a day in this medlar field and became the picking champion.

  "It's my first time to pick wolfberries in Golmud. I can pick more than 230 catties a day. Based on the calculation of one yuan per catty, I can earn more than 270 yuan a day." Jin Xiaoping said while picking wolfberries.

  It is reported that this year's wolfberry picking time is from the end of July to mid-October. The price of wolfberry picking is 1-1.5 yuan per catty, and the daily income of skilled workers can reach 300 yuan.

The employment department of the Human Resources and Social Security of Golmud mobilized local labor brokers through the employment departments of Qinghai Province and Ningxia Human Resources and Social Security to organize surplus labor to pick wolfberries in Golmud.

At present, tens of thousands of pickers from inside and outside Qinghai Province have come to pick wolfberry.
