The Bank of England has kept the discount rate at 0.1%, according to the regulator's website.
It is noted that at a meeting that ended on September 22, the Monetary Policy Committee of the British financial regulator decided that the existing position on the rate remains the same.
"The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee voted unanimously to keep the bank rate at 0.1%," the statement said.
On September 9, the European Central Bank (ECB) kept the base rate at 0%.
