The previous BCG Germany boss Matthias Tauber is advancing according to information from the FAZ and will be responsible for business in Europe, South America, Africa and in the middle of Easter from January 2022.
The company's employees were informed about this on Wednesday afternoon.
In his new position, 42-year-old Matthias Tauber will be responsible for more than 10,000 employees who together represent around 40 percent of BCG's global business.

It had been known since May that the post of European chief was vacant, when the previous European chief Christoph Schweizer (48 years) was elected global BCG chief by the consulting firm's 1,500 partners around the world. In addition to Europe and the Middle East, Tauber is now also responsible for South America and Africa in the expanded regional unit. In contrast to the global chief position, the heads of the regions are not elected by the BCG partners, but are appointed by the top management. Schweizer has therefore chosen his successor himself. It is still unclear who will follow Tauber at the top of business in Germany. Schweizer, who will take over his new role as BCG boss on October 1st, will make a decision on this in the coming weeks.
The civil engineer Matthias Tauber has been working for the Boston Consulting Group since 2003.
Two and a half years ago he moved to the top of the German business.
Tauber grew up in Brixen in the Eisack Valley, the third largest city in South Tyrol.
After graduating from high school, he moved to Vienna, studied engineering and also earned an MBA at the private business school Insead in Fontainebleau near Paris.
The Boston Consulting Group has grown strongly over the past few years: Global sales recently rose to $ 8.6 billion a year.
The consulting firm has not published exact figures for business in Germany for years.
However, sales in Germany and Austria are now likely to be more than one billion euros a year.
