As reported by Interfax, the cost of the October futures on the TTF spot index on the exchange reached € 75.565 per MWh, or $ 923 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Energy expert at the Financial University under the Russian government, Igor Yushkov, in an interview with Nation News, expressed the opinion that the reason for the rise in prices in Europe was the shortage of liquefied natural gas.

In turn, the director of the Institute of National Energy Sergei Pravosudov, in an interview with RT, noted that traders are increasing the price on stock exchanges because of fears that there is little gas in underground storage facilities and in winter it may not be enough.
