On September 4, the public service platform for public bidding in Hebei Province officially announced that Baidu won the bid for the autonomous driving and vehicle-road collaborative intelligent industry demonstration project in Cangzhou Economic Development Zone (hereinafter referred to as the "Cangzhou Vehicle-Road Synergy Project"). The total amount of the project is 167515770.53 yuan. , The bidding construction unit is the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau of Hebei Cangzhou Economic Development Zone.

  According to the project's bidding documents, the project focuses on the construction of autonomous driving and vehicle-road coordination infrastructure, and the construction of smart city platforms in the Cangzhou Economic Development Zone.

After the completion of the project, the vehicle-road coordination facilities will cover the road section of Cangzhou Economic Development Zone from east to Jing12th Street, west to Yongle Avenue, north to Weiming Road, and south to Xingye Road, with a total of 84 kilometers of roads.

  In recent years, Cangzhou has taken the promotion of vehicle electrification, intelligence, and connectivity as the traction, with "intelligent connected vehicles" as the strategic development direction, and deployed the intelligent networked vehicles and autonomous driving industries.

In 2019, the People's Government of Cangzhou City signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Baidu to jointly create a "smart Cangzhou" and help Cangzhou become a leading smart city and smart networked vehicle demonstration benchmark in the country.

At the same time, through the Cangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, the autonomous driving technology and cultural tourism were integrated and prosperous, and the autonomous driving tourism line was launched.

  In August last year, Baidu's autonomous driving travel service was officially opened in Cangzhou.

As of August this year, Cangzhou City has opened a total of 636.9 kilometers of test roads for intelligent networked vehicles, and the total mileage of test roads in the city is second only to Beijing.
