The center explained in a report issued yesterday that the national non-oil exports exceeded 254.6 billion dirhams, achieving an increase of 23.4 billion dirhams, or 10.1%, compared to 2019, to constitute 18% of the volume of the country's trade with the world.

The report indicated that China was the largest trading partner of the UAE, and ranked first with a total of 174 billion dirhams, while five countries accounted for 43.5% of the total UAE national non-oil exports to foreign markets, and Switzerland came first with a value of more than 29.2 billion dirhams.

Telephone and network communication devices ranked first in re-export goods with a value of 75.2 billion dirhams, followed by diamonds with a value of 31.8 billion dirhams, then cars with a value of 21.7 billion dirhams, while self-processing machines for information recorded 19.5 billion dirhams, and jewelry with 17.9 billion dirhams.

The report revealed that the total value of the UAE's non-oil foreign imports during the year 2020 amounted to 785.1 billion dirhams, accounting for 56 percent of the country's total foreign trade of non-oil goods.

Raw or semi-worked gold came at the forefront of imported goods with a value of 136.8 billion dirhams, followed by telephone and communication devices in networks with a value of 74.9 billion dirhams, then cars with a value of 38 billion dirhams.

While diamonds recorded 31 billion dirhams, and oils and light petroleum preparations 30.7 billion dirhams.
