The Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Major General Muhammad Ahmed Al-Marri, met with officials at the air ports, in the presence of the Assistant Director-General for Air Ports Affairs and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Expo 2020 Dubai, Major General Talal Al-Shanqiti, to see the mechanism of the work teams, To prepare to receive visitors arriving through Dubai airports, he also directed the need to double the work, to prepare to receive millions of visitors at Expo 2020 Dubai, to make a milestone in the history of the event.
Al Marri inspected the workflow at the passport counters at Dubai International Airport, as part of his periodic inspection tours to follow up on the progress of work, and to check on the readiness of the passport officers’ employees.
He explained that the establishment of Dubai has prepared specialized work teams to follow up the procedures and facilities to receive travelers and pioneers of the largest international event in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, which carries the world's ambition to chart the features of a new future for humanity after the "Covid-19" pandemic.
He added, "The front-line employees have the responsibility to create the first impression of the state's visitors coming through the city of Dubai, during the hosting of (Expo 2020 Dubai), as they reflect the honorable image of it, with their tactful dealings, their sense of responsibility, and full awareness of all precautionary and preventive measures to deal with the repercussions of (Covid). -19), and their contributions to presenting a copy worthy of its position and the Arab region, and working to leave a positive and unforgettable impact in the memory of travelers.
He added that what we are witnessing today from the great and intense efforts of the work teams, confirms the readiness of Dubai International Airport to receive the world again, and the full readiness for the return of the tourism movement, according to the best international safety standards, in order to preserve the safety of travelers and those coming to Dubai, and that the UAE through “Expo 2020” Dubai” sends a message of hope and optimism to the world, that it is able to resume achievements and write the success stories that it has long written, thanks to the wise vision that made the impossible possible, and became known as the state of the impossible.
Al-Marri praised the exceptional efforts of the Dubai Airports Passport Officers, in facilitating the procedures for travelers coming to the country through Dubai airports, and providing the maximum levels of security and safety, to protect its ports and achieve happiness for its visitors, and thanked and appreciated the managers and officials who used their energies to stand hand in hand with their teams. And helping them to be confident in the performance of their work, with the need to continue with this dedicated level, and the need to follow all the precautionary measures issued by the state, and to facilitate the procedures for passengers arriving through Dubai airports, calling on everyone to intensify efforts and work in a team spirit, to ensure that an unforgettable experience is provided on the land of dreams Dubai.
