We can say that Dacia officials had a fine nose when they launched the Duster 11 years ago!

This SUV sold at the price of a small car was a hit, since the manufacturer has sold more than 1.9 million copies since.

In addition, the model has enabled the brand to move upmarket, and improve a really very “low-cost” image.

Dacia has just presented the latest version of its successful model.

The update is not just anecdotal, since the SUV adopts a front panel similar to that of the Sandero, the new visual identity of the Dacia.

This new generation can also be recognized by its new colors and its redesigned 16 and 17-inch rims.

Inside, there is also change, with a new center console incorporating a sliding armrest, new seat covers and the adoption of headrests already seen on the Clio.

Finally, Dacia now offers two new multimedia systems with an 8-inch screen as an option.

Wide mechanical choice

Under the hood, however, there are fewer novelties.

With the arrival of the robotic EDC double-clutch gearbox with the 150 hp TCe engine, the Duster sees the LPG tank of its ECO-G 100 version almost doubling in capacity, reaching 49.8 liters.

With an average consumption of around 6.5l / 100km on the mixed route of our test, the TCE 150 was very pleasant, mainly thanks to the smoothness of its automatic transmission which does the job quite well.

Too bad the latter is not available with less powerful engines.

For its part, the Duster ECO-G 100 is frankly worth a detour as it is cheap (and very convincing) to use.

Dacia has once again hit the nail on the head.

Attack price: 14.990 €
