Most professionals in the UAE are excited about the future of the job market

A new survey conducted by Bayt.com for jobs in the Middle East, in cooperation with YouGov, a market research organization, showed that about seven out of 10 respondents (70%) who participated in the survey in the UAE expect that technical factors (such as digital transformation, automation, artificial intelligence, and others) to change the nature of work in the future.

The results of the survey, titled “The Future of the Labor Market in the Middle East and North Africa 2021”, indicated that the vast majority of professionals (85%) either feel confident about the future of the labor market and believe that they will achieve professional success, or feel excited about their professional future and look forward to a world Full of opportunities.

While the results revealed in today's statement showed that soft skills such as time management (99%) and communication (98%) are gaining great importance today, more than half of the respondents affirmed that technical skills and soft skills will be equally important 10 years from now. .

On the other hand, 37% of respondents think that technical skills alone will be more important, while 9% think that soft skills alone will be most important.


Companies in the UAE focus on strategically recruiting and retaining talent.

According to respondents, creative thinking skills (92%), computer skills (90%), strategic vision (88%), and communication (87%) will be more important over the next 10 years.

Previous job experience (87%), CV presentation and cover letter (83%) are considered among the most important factors for hiring talents today.

Cultural compatibility (75%), diversity (74%), and academic specialization (72%) also play a major role in making employment decisions.

Respondents said that previous job experience (77%) will remain the most influential factor on future employment decisions, followed by academic specialization (73%) and diversity (70%).
