The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services reported that it had set a maximum of four minutes to respond to the "Expo 2020" communications, and that it had completed all its preparations by 100%, through a fleet of equipped, multi-purpose vehicles, and a highly qualified specialized medical staff.

The Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Khalifa Al-Dari, said that the Corporation has prepared specialized ambulance services, which depend on the type and place of service request, such as the golf car, which will be used inside the Expo campus, in places where it is difficult for ambulances to enter and access some of them, so that vehicles can Golfs equipped with stretchers to transport sick and injured people to the nearest emergency point to provide the necessary medical care.

He stated that the Foundation provided 20 emergency points spread over six sectors linked with the operating room, the Dubai Health Authority, and private hospitals.

He continued: “The authority will provide, within its services, the electric bike service, which is for rapid response to emergency reports, and the corridors are equipped with all the medical equipment necessary for pre-hospital medical intervention, and there will be nine modern ambulances equipped with the latest medical equipment, such as artificial respirators, electric shock devices and a file. digital patient.

Al-Dari confirmed that the Foundation will provide a mobile field hospital (ambulance bus), in addition to a field support unit equipped for support and backing, a mobile drug store and a mobile workshop, and it will provide eight first responder vehicles, to respond in the parking lots of (Expo) to serve the masses from the time of arrival until the time of arrival. Departure.

With regard to human equipment, Al-Dari explained that the institution has prepared a highly qualified and specialized cadre, and on the human equipment, we have qualified paramedics trained to deal with any emergency situation. They number up to 164 paramedics, including 54 citizen paramedics, and 40 paramedics, in addition to highly qualified emergency medicine technicians, and emergency physicians.

He stated that the Foundation worked to provide electric shock devices in the buildings affiliated with the Expo, and to train the crew on them, as the Expo area is part of the Dubai Heart City initiative.

He pointed out that the Foundation will provide emergency pre-hospital medical care, in addition to conducting "Covid-19" examinations for visitors, transporting patients and injured if necessary to complete treatment, and training the Expo staff on first aid, as well as telemedicine services.

The Foundation revealed the launch of the "mobile workshop" to serve the ambulance crews designated for "Expo 2020", to deal with light technical malfunctions, which can be exposed to the various ambulances, distributed in the various emergency points designated to serve this global event, and this mobile workshop is an innovation. A new addition to the innovations of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services aimed at shortening time and providing better services in various circumstances and places.

The workshop was equipped to deal with mechanical and electrical malfunctions, general maintenance, tire maintenance, and air conditioning systems, in addition to maintaining medical equipment and the ability to replace consumable parts. It also contains a generator, an air compressor, and devices for washing and sterilizing vehicles, to ensure health and safety.

The authority will provide an electric bike service to respond quickly to emergency communications.
