To promote the return to employment of people who have suffered from cancer, the Haut-Rhin Cancer League has launched the Lig'Entreprises program.

It is dedicated both to people who survived the disease but also to companies, report

Les Latest Nouvelles d'Alsace

, this Thursday.

In this department, each year, more than 2,700 people affected by cancer have a professional activity, only not all of them will find a job.

"There are 28,000 ALD Cancer beneficiaries in Haut-Rhin," Bruno Audhuy, president of Ligue 68, told our colleagues.

45,000 euros of subsidy

The program is based on partnerships signed between the League of the department and local companies such as La Poste or Knauf.

The goal is to break the taboo on this disease by organizing awareness workshops or training.

The local Alsace-Moselle health insurance scheme will also contribute to this project.

It will subsidize Lig'Entreprises up to 45,000 euros.

According to the president of the regime, Patrick Heidmann, himself affected by the disease in 2010, "you have to be strong to return to work after having experienced this type of affection".
