The agglomeration of Cotentin (Manche) is taking action and will launch an advertising campaign, from September 14, to attract all employees in France to come and work in the peninsula.

It has nearly 5,000 positions in all sectors, reports France Bleu Cherbourg-en-Cotentin.

Several signs will be displayed at Saint Lazare station in Paris, Caen or even in Hauts-de-France with a clear message "for the reintroduction of employees into the natural environment".

It has become imperative for the municipalities of the various communes of the peninsula to restore the image of the territory because the north of the Channel faces 6% unemployment, explains local radio.

Help to find accommodation

In addition to its poster campaign, the territory has put in place tools to help future employees settle there.

Housing construction programs should be launched as well as housing assistance.

“The Cotentin agglomeration has its own support unit.

We have agents of the agglomeration who work on the installation of the spouse when one of the two members of the couple finds a job, ”said the president of the agglomeration at the microphone of France Bleu.

The advertising campaign should also be launched on social networks, adds the local media.
