Dubai Chamber launches a new cycle of the "Dubai Smart Entrepreneurs" competition

Dubai Startup Ventures, one of the Dubai Chamber's innovative initiatives to support entrepreneurship, launched today, during a virtual ceremony, the sixth edition of the "Dubai Smart Entrepreneurs" competition.

In a statement, the Chamber stated that this competition aims to help young entrepreneurs to be part of Dubai's strategic initiatives and future innovative business system that enhances the emirate's position as a global center for innovative businesses.

The categories of this cycle of the competition will focus on sustainability, opportunity and trade, as startups and entrepreneurs are required to submit applications for the competition no later than September 30th.

During his welcome speech at the virtual ceremony, the Director General of Dubai Chamber, Hamad Buamim, said: “The annual (Dubai Smart Entrepreneurs) competition is one of the most successful programs and initiatives launched by (Dubai for Startups), which aims to empower young entrepreneurs and project owners and provide them with knowledge and tools. They need to drive the growth of their businesses, and to be part of the Dubai Government’s strategy of smart transformation and thinking outside the traditional business model.”

The current session of the competition provides distinctive and exclusive benefits for the winners, including providing a four-day bootcamp for the 30 finalists in the competition, giving the ten finalists the opportunity to participate, and showcase their solutions and commercial projects at Expo 2020 Dubai, and meet with potential investors. While the three winners will receive financial prizes totaling 150,000 dirhams.
