As the introduction of solar power generation expands, high-risk cases such as panels being installed on steep mountain slopes have been found.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will provide the installation status of solar panels to local governments nationwide and strengthen the check system.

The introduction of solar power generation is expanding toward decarbonization, but recently, panels have been installed on steep mountain slopes, causing damage to surrounding buildings and roads due to sediment-related disasters.

For this reason, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has decided to strengthen the check system for the installation status of solar panels.

Specifically, if the location of the solar panel approved by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is in a sediment-related disaster warning area, etc., that information will be provided to the local government.

If there is a safety problem in the field survey conducted by the local government and a violation of laws and regulations is found, we will take measures such as revoking the certification.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has decided to tighten the checks and urgently consider specific regulations regarding the installation of solar panels in the future.
