A trailer that can run 1,000 km at a time on hydrogen charging, and a high-performance hydrogen electric vehicle that can exceed 100 km/h in 4 seconds have also appeared.

Cargo ships, trains, and urban air transportation can also utilize hydrogen fuel cells.

[Eui Sun Chung / Hyundai Automotive Group Chairman: Our vision is going to use the hydrogen energy at home and at work, factories, daily life and industry all areas -

global eco-car industry, Tesla and Volkswagen, battery electric vehicles, and Hyundai and Toyota, etc. The hydrogen electric vehicle camp is competing and expanding the market.

While battery electric vehicles are ahead in the speed of supply and popularity, hydrogen cars, which are widely used in large vehicles such as trucks due to their long mileage and short charging time, are a major problem in cost reduction.

Lack of infrastructure, such as charging stations, is also a challenge to be addressed.

As ESG and carbon-neutral management become hot topics, Korean companies are paying attention to 'hydrogen energy'.

We are strengthening cooperation across hydrogen production, material development, and distribution.

When SK and Hanwha make hydrogen, Hyundai uses it for vehicles, and POSCO uses it for the steelmaking process.

For distribution and transportation, SK and GS, which have gas station infrastructure across the country, are stepping up.

Doosan and Hyosung are interested in the production of hydrogen fuel cells and materials.

About 10 companies, including Hyundai Motor Company, SK, and POSCO, will hold the 'Hydrogen Business Summit' tomorrow (8th) and create a hydrogen company council called the Korean version of the Hydrogen Council.
